Transport

Sustainable mobility must combine economic, ecological and social requirements. It must be accessible to all, financed sustainably and fairly, and be available at the lowest possible social cost. Mobility is essential for our society and economy, and transport policy is therefore a central task for the state.

However, the status quo does not meet these requirements. The costs of transport caused by damage to the environment, people and the climate are not sufficiently taken into account and are ultimately largely passed on to society as a whole. The fiscal and economic framework conditions must be realigned with a focus on a modern, environmentally compatible and fair mobility. Central instruments are available to transport policy in the system of taxes, charges and subsidies.
