Max Schön

Max Schön (born July 31, 1961) is an entrepreneur from Lübeck.
In the first half of his working life, Max Schön was primarily active as a family entrepreneur, board member, and supervisory board member. From 2001 to 2005, he was president of the association “Die Familienunternehmer”.
In the second half of his career, he became increasingly involved in non-profit organizations. He was co-founder and member of the supervisory board of the DESERTEC Foundation (2009-2013), member of the German Federal Government's Sustainability Council (2010-2016), chairman of the 2° Foundation - German Entrepreneurs for Climate Protection (2011-2014 - now the Climate Economy Foundation), and president of the German Society CLUB OF ROME (2007-2016). From 2016 to 2024, he was Chairman of the Board of the Possehl Foundation.
