Publicationabstract	Die FÖS-Studie "Loss of revenues in passenger car taxation due to incorrect CO2 values in 11 EU states" im Auftrag der Grünen im Europaparlament macht deutlich, wieviel Geld den europäischen Staaten durch falsche Angaben bei der Kfz-Zulassung entgeht. Allein im Jahr 2016 waren es 10 Milliarden Euro. Das ist mehr als das jährliche Kfz-Steueraufkommen in Deutschland. Realistische Messwerte sind aber die Voraussetzung für eine wirkungsvolle, CO2-basierte Besteuerung von Pkw.
