Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

Publicationabstract | Das FÖS, Arepo Consult und IZES gGmbH haben im Auftrag des Bundesfinanzministeriums die Stromsteuerbefreiungen für Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien und für Strom aus Anlagen kleiner 2 MW untersucht. Die Studie enthält Abschätzungen zum entgangenen Stromsteueraufkommen und eine Analyse zur Auswirkung auf die Wirtschaftlichkeit. Die Einnahmeausfälle liegen im Jahr 2020 schätzungsweise zwischen 334 und 538 Mio. Euro. Die Autoren empfehlen Änderungen der geltenden Steuerregelungen im Gesamtkontext politischer Ziele wie der Energiewende zu bewerten. |
