Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Im Jahr 2009 hatten sich die G20-Staaten darauf geeinigt, mittelfristig ineffiziente Subventionen für fossile Energien abzubauen. In diesem Rahmen berichten einzelne Staaten auf freiwilliger Basis über die Situation im eigenen Land. Nachden USA und China legt nun die deutsche Bundesregierung am Rande der internationalen Klimakonferenz COP 23 ihren ersten sogenannten Self-Report vor. Der Bericht ist ein wichtiger Schritt in Richtung mehr Transparenz. Seiner klimapolitischen Vorbildfunktion wird Deutschland damit allerdings nicht gerecht. |
