Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

Publicationabstract | Erneuerbare Energien sind bereits heute kostengünstiger als konventionelle Energieträger, wenn zur Berechnung außer dem Strompreis auch die Kosten von staatlichen Förderungen und Kosten für Umwelt- und Klimaschäden sowie nukleare Risiken einbezogen werden. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt das FÖS in der aktuellen Auflage der von Greenpeace Energy in Auftrag gegebenen Studie „Was Strom wirklich kostet“. Ein Vergleich zwischen staatlichen Förderungen von konventionellen und erneuerbaren Energieträgern zeigt, dass eine „Konventionelle-Energien-Umlage“ deutlich höher als die EEG-Umlage ausfallen würde |
