Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Die Koalition verzögert die Einführung des im Koalitionsvertrags vorgesehenen Klimagelds. Robert Habeck rechnet aktuell nicht damit, dass das Klimageld noch in dieser Legislatur ausgezahlt werden kann. Eine schnellere Auszahlung wäre jedoch möglich. Dafür sollte die Bundesregierung bestehende Auszahlungswege in Betracht ziehen. Damit ausreichend Mittel für die Finanzierung des Klimagelds zur Verfügung stehen, sollte die Aussetzung des CO2-Preispfads im BEHG rückgängig gemacht werden. Klimapolitisch ist dies ohnehin dringend notwendig. Um einkommensschwache Haushalte zu entlasten, braucht es bei weiteren Verzögerungen eine Übergangslösung. |
