Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Der vorliegende Bericht dient als maßgebliche Grundlage für den ersten Erfahrungsbericht der Bundesregierung nach § 23 des Brennstoffemissionshandelsgesetz (BEHG) im Jahr 2022. Im Rahmen des Berichts wird die Wirkung des nEHS in den drei folgenden Dimensionen analysiert und ausgewertet: 1) Effekte des nEHS auf die Preisentwicklung von fossilen Brennstoffen, 2) Treibhausgasminderungen durch den nEHS sowie 3) Verteilungswirkungen des BEHG auf die privaten Haushalte. |
