Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Das FÖS hat im Auftrag des BUND die derzeitige Praxis und die daraus resultierenden Probleme der Atomrückstellungen in Deutschland analysiert. Dabei wird deutlich, dass die finanziellen Mittel der KKW-Betreiber für Stilllegung, Rückbau und Entsorgung nicht ausreichend gesichert sind. Das FÖS schlägt ein Reformkonzept vor, das Transparenz und Insolvenzschutz der Rückstellungen erhöht und einen öffentlich-rechtlichen Fonds zur Insolvenzsicherung langfristiger Verpflichtungen auflegt. In einer Kurzanalyse zu den Rückstellungen Ende 2014 wurden die Ergebnisse aktualisiert. |
