Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Die Kurzstudie des FÖS betrachtet die Steuerbefreiung der stofflichen Nutzung von Rohöl, welche vor allem für die Herstellung von Kunststoffen relevant ist. Demnach wurde die stoffliche Verwendung von Rohbenzin im Jahr 2013 mit bis zu drei Mrd. Euro subventioniert. Die Einführung einer Steuer würde die effizientere Nutzung der fossilen Rohstoffe und den Einsatz von erneuerbaren Ressourcen fördern und die Mengen an Plastikabfall reduzieren. Die Studie wurde im Auftrag der Bundestagsfraktion Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen durchgeführt. |
