Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Das FÖS nimmt Stellung zum Verordnungsentwurf des BMU über Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung von Carbon-Leakage durch den nationalen Brennstoffemissionshandel. Aus Sicht des FÖS sollten Ausnahmen für Unternehmen vom CO2-Preis nur sehr sparsam und gezielt eingesetzt werden. Der Vorschlag enthält eine großzügige Liste von Sektoren, die sogar noch ausgeweitet werden soll. Klimaschutzanreize bleiben nur dann erhalten, wenn die Entlastung beim Strompreis angerechnet wird und Unternehmen im Gegenzug wirtschaftliche Klimaschutzmaßnahmen umsetzen müssen. |
