Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Im Bundestagswahlkampf machen Politiker:innen verschiedener Parteien mit Forderungen auf sich aufmerksam, Windkraftanlagen außer Betrieb nehmen bzw. abreißen zu wollen. Diese Kurzanalyse betrachtet die möglichen Auswirkungen eines ‘Rückbaus’ der Windkraftanlagen in Deutschland. Das Ergebnis: Ohne Windstrom im Netz, hätte der Börsenstrompreis 2024 im Jahresdurchschnitt um 3,9 ct/kWh höher gelegen – statt ca. 7,9 ct/kWh bei ca. 11,8 ct/kWh. Zudem drohen hohe Entschädigungszahlungen aus der Staatskasse an die Betreiber in der Größenordnung von 60 Mrd. Euro, eine geringere Versorgungssicherheit sowie hohe gesellschaftliche Folgekosten einer dann hauptsächlich fossilen Stromerzeugung. |
