Environmental Financial Reform
With an environmental financial reform, we are using fiscal policy and taxation to redirect towards a sustainable and fair economy and society - by reducing subsidies that harm the environment and society, by placing our tax system on a broader basis and by making the consumption of resources and the burden on the climate more expensive. The additional revenue should be used sustainably for investments in the future and social justice.

| Publicationabstract | Der Verkehrssektor benötigt eine Finanzpolitik, die sowohl die Finanzierung der Infrastruktur sicherstellt als auch die richtigen Rahmenbedingungen für die Erreichung der Klimaziele absteckt. Eine solche Klima-Finanzpolitik fußt auf drei Säulen: Eine zielkonforme Ausgabenpolitik tätigt die nötigen Infrastrukturinvestitionen und schafft Planbarkeit. Eine effiziente Einnahmenpolitik setzt auf eine verursachergerechte Besteuerung sowie auf konsistente Anreize und trägt so zu nachhaltigem Verhalten bei. Ergänzt wird dies durch eine kohärente Subventionspolitik, die den Wandel unterstützt. Bei allen erwähnten Punkten muss die soziale Verträglichkeit gewährleistet sein, indem bei jeder Maßnahme auf eine gerechte Verteilung der Kosten und Chancen geachtet wird. |
